Essential Versus Optional
- Essential
- Sign-in, security, form submission and live tracking. The service cannot function without these.
- Functional
- Install prompt state and remembered preferences. Disabling these only reduces convenience.
- Optional
- Push notification subscriptions, which you explicitly opt into and can revoke at any time.
Managing Cookies
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies and site data.
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
- Push notifications: turn alerts off in your browser's site settings or from the portal dashboard.
Third-Party Services
Map tiles and routing are provided by third-party mapping services, and push messages are delivered through your browser vendor's push service. These providers may set their own technical storage. See the Privacy Policy for the categories of providers we work with.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy whenever the technologies we use change. The Last updated date reflects the current version.
Draft notice. This document is published as a working draft prepared by the TrueNorth operations team. It describes how the service actually runs today, but the final wording still requires review by qualified legal counsel before it is relied on as a binding agreement.
